Nightingale Ngo, NCTM, a native of the Philippines, started piano studies at age of 3 when she began picking out tunes at the piano by ear. Her mother was her first teacher.

Ms. Ngo studied piano and organ at Texas Christian University, then went on to graduate school at the University of Miami, where she graduated with a Master of Music and Master of Arts.

Her teachers include Dr. Rosalina Sackstein, John Owings, Dr. H. Joseph Butler (organ) and Peggy Neighbors Erwin. For voice, she studied with Jana Young, Aija Shrader, and currently studies musical theatre with Arielle Jacobs.

Ms. Ngo is active in the Music Teachers National Association and the National Federation of Music Clubs and their local chapters. Additionally, she has served on the boards of their local organizations, and is currently on the board of the Coral Gables Music Club. Ms. Ngo is also the chairperson of Florida Federation of Music Club’s evaluations for Royal Poinciana South district. Her students actively participate in competitions and evaluations through these and other nationally recognized organizations. She is also a Steinway Educational Partner.

She is an adjudicator with the National Guild Piano Auditions and National Federation of Music Clubs Festival, and has adjudicated with the Miami Fair & Exposition Piano Event.

Ms. Ngo is nationally professionally certified (NCTM) in piano with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) . She also holds the Online Music Teaching Certification from Teach Music Online.

A published author, her book, From the Baroque to the Classical: The Organ Works and Contributions of W.F. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, J.C. Bach, and J. Krebs is available in 6 different languages.

Ms. Ngo has released three piano solo albums, The Holiest Night, Disney Peaceful Piano Solos, and Tune my Heart to Sing Thy Grace, which are available on streaming apps. Her original compositions can be heard on videos in collaboration with Busy Minds Box subscription box on their YouTube page.

Her non-music hobbies include films and football. Her favorite film genre is the wuxia pian (Chinese swordplay films). During football season, Ms. Ngo can be found playing fantasy football and rooting for the TCU Horned Frogs and UM Hurricanes, and the Miami Dolphins (understanding the ups and, mainly, downs of being a Dolfan).
